Operating principle

Pumping block fire extinguishing stations are a set of devices and communications designed to supply water or foam fire extinguishing agent to the fire zone to prevent its development. The supply of liquid in these devices is carried out under pressure. In most cases, two groups of pumps are located in the Pumping Unit Fire Fighting Station - the main and circulation ones. As a rule, one pump is working, one is standby. Circulation pumps, constant operation, serve to maintain a constant pressure in the fire ring. The main pumps start up only when a fire signal is received. Depending on the required technology, pumping stations can be of water, foam and combined fire extinguishing. Fire extinguishing pumping stations are equipped with centrifugal type pumps. The choice of pumps is determined by the required flow and pressure. All types of pumping units offered for delivery are driven by electric motors of general industrial design. Also, in order to ensure uninterrupted fire extinguishing, the Stations can be equipped with pumps with internal combustion engines in case of a power outage at the facility.
